I’ve always enjoyed creative problem-solving, and growing up on the Cape offered plenty of opportunities. Outdoors and on the water, I spent most of my youth looking at things differently because it could lead to new possibilities (or occasionally land me in the local hospital).

After college in Rhode Island, my professional career started in San Francisco. It was the dotcom boom, and I found myself working at various tech start-ups and design agencies. A decade later I took a deep breath, knowing I wanted to start my own business.

In 2010, my wife and I moved back to Cape Cod and opened Sunbird, a cafe + lifestyle brand on a mission to ‘Cape it simple’, which today is reaching new heights.

Since then, I’ve also been helping small businesses like ours develop and elevate their brands in the communities they serve.

Things are evolving faster than ever: new trends, new tech, new approaches, new possibilities. While change isn’t easy, or smooth, or fair, it does offer us opportunities to do things better. To that end, I appreciate every chance I get to see what’s possible.
